About Alexander Raye Pimentel

Alexander Raye Pimentel was born in 1989, has lived in Los Angeles, CA and Atlanta, GA. He comes from an artistic background and the majority of his inspiration came from his Uncle, an Artist named Allan Linder. Upon experiencing a family tragedy, at the age of seventeen, Pimentel left home and joined the United States Armed Forces, where, over the duration of four years, his Film Directing Career began. With an artistic background from early childhood, Pimentel naturally learned how to draw, paint, and write with his imagination. Each year, for the years 1995 to 1997, he was awarded first place in Duluth, Georgia’s National PTA Reflections Program. Pimentel made his first stop-motion film at the age of ten, which lead him to achieve, ten years later, Official Selections in two International Film Festivals, with his Directorial debut Film, in 2009. In 2011, with four films of experience, he won Best Dramatic Short, for the film “Build a Fire,” in the Munoz Generations International Film Festival and New York Film and Video Festival. Alexander Raye Pimentel is currently attending school at New York Film Academy’s Universal Studios Location. He continues to work with an undisputed motivation and passion, challenging the audience’s intellect, and showing the raw reality of this vestigial world we live in.
