Dia is a short film about falling in lust with a seductive werewolf. The film was shot in order to raise hype and fund the novel in which it is based, from which a feature film has also been written, tittled "The Feeder",in which a teenager's massive fear of death and vivid imagination lead him into fearing he might soon follow his murderous impulses. He's struggle with sexual insecurities are exposed when he finds himself house arrested at his brother's country house, where he falls in love with his sister in Law, a seductive werewolf woman that convinces her husband to kill people for her once a month. Piero simultaneously falls in love with a mean, manipulative and sexually ambiguous boy who ends up a victim of his brother's service to his wife. As Piero discovers what his brother does for her, he fears that killing might eventually become his destiny, just like it is his brother's. In the short film, only the core concept of the story is shown, the werewolf and Piero's lust for Dia side of the story. The main character's death and sexual struggles are reserved for the longer story. This is a a very violent thriller in a way, but it has a lot of soul, and an uplifting ending that reminds Piero of the importance of family and love for those to whom we are blood related. I like to think of the story as a movie about specific young life struggles, with a werewolf in it to push those struggles to the surface of a main character's life problems as an spectator of other peoples' lives, and as not a werewolf film. Dia, the wolf woman, is the touch of fantasy, the oddly attractive spark that leads Piero, the sexually confused teenager who fears the idea of being labeled gay into involving himself in a passionate heterosexual love triangle. I hope you enjoy the short film we put together with a lot of hard work and help us support this wonderful idea. less

Backstory and Vision

In a way, Dia - The Feeder is a personal story, a medium to put all those struggles about death and sexuality in a film, and disguise them or exagerate them artistically through a fantasy so the audience can read it and then watch it and I can hide behind it, unnoticed, and have them see not a window to my secretly convoluted mind, but their own.

In the blog section under the FANS tab, you can find the novel's first five pages.
